IF ELECTED, OBAMA WILL BE MY PRESIDENT

I wonder where the limits are to the phrase "if he iselected, he will be my President"? Would it extend to a fairness doctrine that regulates the content of the airwaves and the blogoshpere? Would it extend to a tax policy that rewards success of the entrepreneur with taking his profits to "spread the wealth"? Would it extend to Obama's promise to unilaterally disarm by stopping the development of advanced weapons systems, by drawing down our nuclear stores, by sitting down with tyrants without preconditions? Would it extend to the take over of industry in the name of financial security? There are many examples of Obama's minios acting to restrict free speech, will "hate speech" become the next tool to suppress dissent of a Obama administration? How about limits of the 2nd Amendment? Obama has a solid history of opposing private gun ownership while in the Illinois legislature.

I look at the past 6 months in wonder. Trillions taken from the taxpayer, used to take over the banking and real estate sectors, billions more to become the nation's largest insurance company and shore up the auto industry. And I say to my self, "my God, overnight we've become a socialist country!"

The real question to ask is, how far towards a Marxist/communist state do we march before it becomes necessary to defend the Constitution? The US Government is in the process of shredding the founding father's basic tenants. How long do we let this continue? Jefferson believed that, from time to time, the people would need to replace their rulers by force. Should we continue down this road, I suspect we may well face that choice again. Obama moves us much farther down that road. A time is coming, given our current path, when people will again be asked to choose their government in a manner different than ballot box.

I suspect this post will put me in the nutter category. So be it. Answer me this though, if we continue down this socialist path, what type of country will we be when your granddaughter's granddaughter votes for the first time? Will there be a choice to make or will there simply be the "State Party" with their singular candidate? Look how far left we have slid since the beginning of the "Great Society". Trillions and trillions and trillions spent to abolish poverty and all we have done is create a society dependent upon government largess. Is that what we really want?? For a nanny government to tell us what we can and can't have, to make sure they "spread the wealth"? When you can have a sitting Congresswoman in a hearing look at the oil companies and tell them that the government will simply take over their businesses because prices are too high, (and yes, I know Waters is a nutter) you just have to have a hair or two stand on the back of your neck. With such a slide in only 45 years, what will another 100 bring? When is enough, enough? When do patriots stand and say "not another inch!"???
